The impact and footprint that tattooing has on the environment due to its over use of single use plastics, paper, and chemicals has been overwhelming. Like most medical practices, waste is hardly considered when your subject is a living being that must be protected from cross contamination. Standards usually, are set with using out of date products while research is controlled by monopolies of medical suppliers. Tattooing is enforced and fed by smaller companies which allows research, development and open communication with the consumer as well.
